Wrapping up April

I checked the camera to upload the end of April pictures and the only ones left were of Kyle's night game on the "big kid field"  I have many more pictures, but they are on my fancy new phone.  I need to take some time to learn how to transfer them correctly. I will eventually post them here.
For now, here is Kyle with his team, The Cherokees, in his most recent game.

They all take turns at each position...his current favorite is the catcher.  It is funny to watch the coaches tie shoes and help the players put on the gear!  Maybe when they are 6 they can do it themselves!

Easter

We had a very nice and quiet Easter this year. Kyle is under the impression that the Easter Bunny is going to leave the baskets in Dadddy's car every year. If you remember, Dave was working at night one Easter and wanted to be a part of seeing the kids get their baskets...the good ol bunny was smart and decided to leave the baskets in his car....I guess this will be a repeated tradition in our household!
Dave was able to be home this year. We had a fun morning opening the basket and playing with some fun new toys. We also had a great family breakfast followed by a very nice church service. Our church was so full, we had to sit in the overflow section. Elizabeth went to the nursery, but they didn't have children's church for Kyle. He did GREAT sitting with us the whole time! The kids were also excited about the REAL meaning of Easter, shouting, "Jesus is back alive!" and yipee he is back!" This may be due to my repeated emphasis on this....I think they were more excited about the candy and toys...at least they knew what to say! :)
It was a beautiful day outside and we spent the afternoon as a family playing.

Opening Day and Bunnyland

A few weeks ago, Kyle's baseball league had the opening day parade. I didn't get too many pictures, but I am sure as the season goes on, I will collect a few more.

I took the kids for our anual trip to Bunnyland. It was a beautiful day to visit the animals, play on the playground and of course take a tractor ride to visit the Easter Bunny!

Circus, Easter Eggs and Chicks!

A small circus came to town and I took the kids to have a little fun. Jill and Ali were also able to join us for the afternoon! Both kids really enjoyed it...but Elizabeth did not like the "bam" of the loud noises. A clown had a backfiring car, there was a hidden gunshot and there was a cowboy who did a laso routine that was loud too. Funny though, she loved the loud motorcycles. Kyle had a great attention span for the whole thing!

The circus was actually held in an ice hockey/skating arena...of course Kyle LOVED that! This is where the "little Flyers" practice and play.

Today, the kids decided they wanted to take a shower together in the am. They laughed and played for 20+ min! It was cute to listen in. They got out and wrapped up by themselves!

Easter EGGS!!!! I was so proud of Kyle. He was able to independently tell Elizabeth the whole Easter story. He has been learning about it in Sunday School. They have obviously done a wonderful job for him to remember and be able to explain so well.

Our sweeet neighbor invited us to her school again this year to visit the new baby chicks. The kids enjoyed themselves and really seemed to like the experience . I couldn't decide which pictures to post...so here are most of them!
