Myrtle Beach Vacation
Our vacation to Myrtle Beach turned out great. The 3 of us went as well as Papa and Grandma Carol McGhee (Don and Carol), Pop Pop (Joe Rudolph) and Carrie and Chad Harris. We rented a house about one block from the beach with a small private pool. The house was great! It had 5 bedrooms with their own private baths. Dave and I took the top floor bedroom with a large walk in closet. This turned into a great room for Kyle to sleep in. It was so dark that he was able to sleep in later in the morning and thus go to bed later at night. That meant more fun for all! We shared many good dinners out and a few in the house.
Kyle had a great time playing on the beach. He really was quite the little beach boy, playing in the sand, jumping in the waves and running ar0und kicking and throwing balls. He was not too interested in the pool at the house, but LOVED the kiddie pool at the water park. The water came up to his chest, but he wanted to walk in the water and explore alone. He even enjoyed going down the little water slides. Dave and I had a good time watching him have so much fun. Then Papa and Grandma Carol picked Kyle up and we got to play on the big slides!
We had one rainy day, but still had fun. We took Kyle to an indoor playground with a huge slide and inflatable bouncy things. There were plenty of other playmates for Kyle there! It actually was packed! Kyle was in one of the inflatables trying to play a little basketball, but kept falling down due to the big kids...and he just kept laughing!

We actually put a quarter in this ride...Kyle enjoyed it! Previously we had just let him sit in the rides and turn the wheel and push the buttons...we may be in trouble now that he knows the rides actually move!
Kyle really enjoyed just walking around and checking out the boardwalk!

My friend, Kelly, at work decided to play a prank and paint Kyle in PSU fashion. Kyle was a good sport and even roared like a lion after being painted. We had to swing him to dry the paint...he loved it!
We know deep down he is a true Buckeye fan. Kyle was being generous and giving the Penn State fans one last thing to smile about. He realizes that the upcoming football season may be tough on them...as has been in years past!
Go Buckeyes!
