We had an upside down Christmas this year....but it was actually more focused on the REAL meaning of Christmas!

Dave was on call for the whole week. Unfortunatly, he didn't get done early enough Christmas Eve to go to church with us. Elizabeth wore her really pretty dress and loved it! She had fun in the nursery. Kyle was a big boy and stayed with me during the whole church service! It was really cute to watch him with his innocent curiosity. He sang the songs...of course his version...stood up in the pew in order to see and even helped me hold the candle. We went home and set out milk, cookies and carrots, but Kyle knew that Santa was not going to come to our house until Daddy came home during his afternoon nap. When Kyle woke up on Christmas morning, he was very good...didn't even ask about Santa. I had to actually prod Kyle to go check on the cookies! When we looked, Santa had left a few presents for the kids. He was so sweet to give them something to play with while they waited for Daddy to get home. Kyle took Elizabeth's present up and set it outside her door for her to see when she woke up. Then he helped her open it. Then Kyle and I made a birthday cake for Jesus. We had a party after Elizabeth woke up. We played all day and Dave called to tell us he was coming home soon...I put Kyle down for a nap (and he actually slept 1 1/2 hours!) When he woke up....Santa had really come! It was a lot of fun! Elizabeth woke up a little earlier than Kyle and she got a sneak peak of the presents. It was cute to see her explore! After we opened the presents, we had a very nice dinner with our neighbors. The Rezers have been kind enough to invite us to several Christmas dinners.
There are some other pictures here of fun stuff that are pretty self explanatory! Going to do a big upload now...and maybe a few videos later!
Merry Christmas!

Baby it's cold outside!

We got a little bit of cabin fever and needed to get outside...but it was COLD!!!! I pulled the kids around while we looked at Christmas decorations.

Our cuties! Elizabeth loves this sweatshirt......she can even say "zoe"! (Zoe is on her shirt under Kyle's hands)
Warming up! ....to funny not to post! He he!

Getting closer

My office has a tradition of wearing PJs to work on Christmas Eve. The staff brings in food/snacks to eat and we share them with the patients. Because Christmas is on Sat., our office is closed on Friday...so they did the night before the night before christmas! I am off on Thursdays, so I took the kids in to visit and get some fun snacks. Kyle has done this a few years and really enjoys it!
These pics are from someone else's cell phone...thanks Pat!

Kyle in his tent

We decided to just make it a PJ day at home too! And we even went to the grocery store in PJs! We got a lot of funny looks...but many comments about how much fun PJ days are!
Kyle was "reading" the real Christmas story to Elizabeth

Awwwwww
