Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2011 started off with the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade. Thanks to MaryBeth for being experienced (20 years) with all of the details to have a great day without any problems! We were able to stay in a nice warm lobby of one of the buildings downtown and even have breakfast there. Then we took a short walk to the area she and her friends had saved with tents. We were right on the curb to see the parade with a front row seat! The kids had a blast! The crowd chanted "spin it" as the balloons came by to encourage them to turn around in a circle. Our kids caught on quickly and joined in the chanting! And the Rudolph household has had many kid parades recently with demonstrations of the spinning balloons! Here are some of the many pictures I took...I have the entire collection on our computer if you are interested ...ha ha!

Elizabeth's favorite!

Kyle's favorite...Phillies, Flyers and Eagles all in one!!!

The kids wrote letters to Santa. The mailmen came by to collect and deliver them!

November update

Elizabeth wearing Daddy's shoes...and of course holding a baby
Dave helping Kyle out with some Fun Dip from his Halloween bucket. Nothing quite like dyed sugar for a 4 year old!

The kids often hide here for Dave to "find" them when he comes in the door.

Helping out Pam (at work) open some baby shower gifts.

Finally some decent family pictures!

End of October...and snow????!!!!

We were very suprised to find we had a small snow/ice storm in October this year! We had some "practice" play in the snow.
Papa and Grandma Carol also came in during the storm. We had a very nice visit. They had a few days to play with the kids, visit with the adults and even make in to Haddonfield. The highlight was watching the kids in their school parade and of course Trick-or -Treating. (I will leave out the details of poor child behavior that progressed while they were here...we can just blame it on too much candy and not enough sleep)

anual first stop to visit the Rezers

Trying to attempt to have a quiet read prior to leaving for the airport...this is after I had hit the frustration max with the kids....Grandma Carol managed a few quiet minutes before yet another breakdown
