Fun Playdate!

I usually don't "talk" too much on this blog...but have to add a few quick notes here. I am actually posting these pics the same day I took them. Elizabeth is in bed and Dave and Kyle are at Kyle's first pro hockey game. I am not sure who was more excited! I can't wait to hear all about it!

The other thing I want to share is a funny quote from Elizabeth. She and I had some quiet time tonight after the boys left. She wanted to read in our new reading area. We cuddled up and had a sweet time. We were reading a book about Grover. Elizabeth said how much she liked Grover, and then she went on to say how she wanted him to come to our house. I thought that was cute in itself....but then she said, "mommy, maybe we can text his mommy to see if he can come here!" PRICELESS!!!!

Fun in the snow~!

I took the kids to the local field to sled. They had fun...well Elizabeth had fun the first few times down....then the 2 of them tipped over on the sled and the poor little thing scratched up her lip and face on the ice/snow....boy did I feel like a terrible mom! I can't bring myself to post the picture of the damage! Good news is....she is fine...she even told me her boo boo was all better! I think I am going to bubble wrap her now!

MaryBeth met us to join in the fun too.....I am thankful she came. After the tumble, Elizabeth mostly wanted me to hold her...Kyle had a sledmate to continue the fun with!

Kyle's 5th birthday party!

Kyle is in the super hero phase right now. He requested a cake with these 3 guys on it...he loved it!

Elizabeth enjoyed herself at the party too. We are lucky to have families with friends the same age as our kids. They both had a blast playing with their friends. Dave and I also enjoyed seeing our friends and of course watching the kids laugh and play!

Elizabeth did very well watching Kyle open ALL of his presents. I think the candy necklace from the goody bag helped!!!

We had a blast celebrating Kyle's 5th birthday with everyone. We are so looking forward to being able to celebrate with our southern family members!!!!!!
