More December Fun!

We decided to make a ginger bread house this year. It was a LOT of fun! Elizabeth should enjoy it a bit more next year.
Kyle is mixing the icing....and yes...he is in underware again!

Support system while the first step dries

waiting for all the pieces to stick together and dry....still in undies!

Ah...finally some clothes!...decorating with Daddy

The finished Rudolph house!

Birthday party at Bounce U
Kyle and Dave played lots of dodge ball

And basketball

WEEEEEEEEEEEE

Little weeeeeeeeee

My cuties! I was cleaning up the kitchen from lunch and these two were playing sooooooo sweetly together! It got very quiet and then I found them "hiding" under the blankets...and I even got a video of them playing without them seeing me...it was priceless!...see video below

Hmmmmm, I wonder where they are?

Oh, there you are!

First snow of the year....the last??????

Too cold for her to go out today

Of course, in our house, decorating the house can become a sport.....they are throwing the "balls" candy at the roof to get them to stick!

Ooops...shot this one sideways, but worth watching..they had no clue I was there!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

This was supposed to be the last picture....oops again
Elizabeth had her first real time out today. She had a book and was reading quitely...Kyle came along and wanted the book....he reached across her to take it and they were tugging at it a few seconds when Kyle let out a cry. She had bitten him on the arm...and left teeth marks! So, I put her in time out......she just sat quietly and then told Kyle she was sorry...I guess she has seen him demonstrate this numerous times! Kyle said, "thats ok, Liz-bef...just don't eat me again!".......is it bad that I sort of thought the whole thing was cute?

Kyle and I had a good time decorating our house for Christmas today. We talked about the Christmas story, and I was so proud that he could tell me the important details! We decorated most of the house while Elizabeth was asleep. When we got her up, we took her downstairs to see the house and Kyle said "look what we did for Jesus' birthday!
She was soooo cute...just like a calm little girl. She just slowly walked around and looked at everything with a sweet smile!
The "Rudolph" family

Our little tree! Dave and I got this tree the first Christmas we were married. We got it at Meijer for our one bedroom apt!....we are waiting until we get our "real" house to upgrade.

Kyle looked at the star and said "mommy, that looks just like the star that those guys saw in the sky to find baby Jesus"....later somehow the star was broken.....I am sure it has nothing to do with my little helper!...nothing a little tape couldn't fix!

Our basket of Christmas books...and of course the very special rocking chairs from PaPa and Grandma Carol. They have given each of the grandchildren a chair on their first Christmas

Elizabeth looked at the stockings, pointed and said, "shoes?, shoes?"

My helper.....and yes, he was in his undies the whole time!...didn't get dressed in actual clothes until about 12.....

Kyle did a great job at putting the fragile ornaments up high and spacing them out pretty well....now I know why mom used to rearrange the ornaments after we were done helping out!

Kyle's new pillow case....you color it! Of course it has sports balls on it!

This isn't the best picture...but it will do. I took the kids to visit Santa a few days ago....they were both very excited to see him from a distance...Elizabeth sat on his lap about 10 seconds before crying....Kyle actually sat for a while and talked to Santa.....Santa was very patient and told Kyle how much he enjoyed his cookies from last year. We didn't get a picture.....yet

more fun

oops...loaded these backwards...as you can see, Kyle and I made some BEAUTIFUL Christmas cookies. We had a lot of fun with the icing and sprinkels! And suprisingly, the kitchen wasn't much dirtier than when we started!
Kyle was a bit red and green with tasting some of the items!

Check out the "Rudolph Family" in the background. We made some crafts by tracing the kids shoes and hands...they were Rudolph reindeers...Kyle realized this was our name, so he wanted to make our whole family!

Our cutie with her new doggie. She had her hair in her first single pony tail...and just in a onesie and tights...the dress got a little food on it!!!

She has really started pretending to feed her friends....cute!

Hanukkah

We celebrated the 4th night of Hanukkah with our friends, The Harwoods. It was a fun family playdate and a LOT of energy from the boys. They were sooooo excited about the presents we barely lit the candles on the menorah and said the prayers!
